What is Colour Me Mine?

Colour Me Mine is a art-as-entertainment studio where you can create your own artwork on a pottery piece of your choice. Age is no barrier! From newborns making fabulous hand and footprints to senior citizens we offer great interactive fun for everyone.

| Do I have to be an artist to paint my own pottery? I can't draw a straight line!
|
| No! We have stencils and rubber stamps for the art-impaired. We also have a design computer with thousands of designs that you can trace or transfer. There is also a helpful staff to assist and teach one our our many easy techniques that will make anyone look like they are an artist.

| What can I paint?
|
| We have over 200 different pieces to paint. We have dinosaurs, dolphins, frogs, mermaids and other aquatic life. We have plates, platters, bowls and mugs in lots of useful sizes and shapes. We have coffee jars, toothbrush holder and even a huge cappuccino cup. The choice is unbelievable.

| Can I use this stuff?
|
| Yes! All our paints are non-toxic, lead free, and are food-safe. They are dishwasher safe as well, although the mermaids complain that dishwashing detergent bleaches their hair.

| How much does it cost?
|
|
Ceramic pieces range from $8 -$100 (most items are below $50). There's a standard per person per day studio fee which includes unlimited use of paints, tools, glazing and firing of all the pieces you can paint in one day. We also have Frequent Painter Passes for 10-visits which you can share with family and friends. Studio fees may be different at different studios but each studio also runs regular weekly specials. Can I bring my friends, co-workers, pets?
|
|
Of course! The more the merrier. However pets more active than turtles or goldfish must remain at home. We have a special party room for groups.

What can kids do at Colour Me Mine?
|
|
We can amuse children of all ages, including infants! You can paint your baby's feet, or your children's hands on a platter, a clock, or a coffee mug. Even the youngest child likes to play with brushes, sponges and paints. Finger painting on pieces is allowed and encouraged. The paints rinse off the kids and their clothes with water. We also have after school and holiday kids clubs.

Can you come to my school/office/party?
|
|
Yes! We go to private homes, schools, restaurants, hospitals, businesses, parks. Plan it indoors or out...we love to party! Having a large party? One of our staff members can come and run a party wherever you are. Contact our studios in the Gold Coast or Sydney for more information.

Do you plan birthday and other parties?
|
|
Of course! We specialise in kids birthday parties as well as hen's afternoons and corporate functions. Party packages are slightly different for each individual studios, check our individual studio websites for more information.

How long do I have to wait to get my stuff?
|
|
Usually a piece is available within 3-4 days. During holiday periods the wait may be a little longer
